Well, it’s been WAY too long since I have put together a Photo Fun Day Friday post. It’s been a busy couple of months. I went right from the holidays into my yoga teacher training program, into a month of catching up on work. February has been busy, hectic, overwhelming but as always – fun and filled with happiness.
Here’s some of my favorite moments for the last month and a half or so:
I found this ticket in an old jacket recently, when I was cleaning out some boxes. My husband Mark and I hadn’t yet met. I was at this show with a friend, and he was, as well. The story goes that he picked me out from the crowd, from across the room and pointed me out to his friend as the prettiest girl there. Flash forward a month later after meeting online, through some mutual friends. We are on our first (blind) date, we get to talking and he realizes he had actually seen me once before at a show, he thought. I didn’t believe him and he tells me exactly what I was wearing, right down to the jacket. 11 years later, I found that jacket in a box, the ticket from that show still in the pocket. We’ve since framed it, of course 🙂
I checked in on my garden after a month away and it was going nuts!
I finally got to take one of Kathryn Budig’s classes at YogaGlo. She is so sweet and I found out she actually has a print of ours on her alter at home.

I love having a great yoga studio around the corner from my house, when my home practice isn’t possible.
My hubby and I got to tour the set of 2 Broke Girlsand see all of our artwork scattered throughout the different sets, plus we got to watch them film an episode. Pretty cool stuff. These are two of our prints in the girl’s cupcake shop (and not the best photo of the two of us). Anyone watch the show?

Beautiful walk around the neighborhood. After posting this on Instagram a few followers told me those flowers are actually edible, Nasturtiums. Anyone ever had them?

Our resident downward dog expert sprung a surprise inspection of my home practice this morning.
We’ve been working away over here designing and illustrating lots of new stuff for our line of kitchen prints and tea towels. Here are two brand new designs, that will be available as towels and prints, very soon. Designed and hand silkscreen printed by me and the hubby.

Not only the flowers of nasturtiums are edible, but the leaves as well. The leaves are peppery; even more so than arugula…very yummy.
Oh Beth…As always your photo’s are fab! You knocked me out with these…what a treat:) yes the nasturtiums are really great…they taste peppery to me…somewhat like a cross between black and green pepper corns that were just freshly ground. I love you huge piece of amethyst and Jpeg and Seri are just THE BEST!!! What sweet awesome fur babies you have …oh they are just too cute. I can not get over that you came across that ticket stub…WOW! Hope you and the Hubs have a blessed week.
Photo fun Friday is my favourite of all your posts, thank you for sharing :). I really love your cool story of how you and Mark met, some may say “it was fate!” I also remember loving Nasturtiums in salads as a little girl, we had it growing wild in our garden at home. Funny the things you forget once your grown, I don’t think I’ve had them since I was a teenager.
Jeremy and I watch 2 Broke Girls (it’s formulaic and filled with canned laughter, but dammit we love Cat Dennings!) and I noticed the “I love to Bake” print right away, since it’s the one I bought from you!
Nasturtiums, in Sweden we call them Krasse and they are very common in sallads. They add beauiful colours to an everyday sallad. I just love ’em! If you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend you do. It is the best edible flower of all times. 🙂

Hi Beth! I just found you on Instagram through your hubby’s post today with the donuts O.O I saw your precious Seri (one of the reasons I was following Mark) and saw that he linked to you. When I saw that them donuts were gluten free, I knew I had fallen in love, but I didn’t know just how hard I was going to fall.
