Happy Friday!! Hope all of my American readers had a happy, fun and safe 4th of July!! Did you do anything fun yesterday??
We’ve had a great week!! So excited that summer is in full swing and trying to enjoy every moment of it.
I froze some watermelon balls (used a melon baller to scoop out fresh watermelon then put it on a parchment paper lined sheet until they were frozen and they have been delicious in sparkling water.
Seri can always find even the smallest patch of sunlight shining in.
The view from my yoga mat at Wanderlust Yoga in the City. Yoga amongst hundreds of strangers under the hot sun on the Santa Monica Pier. It was perfection.
I am getting really creative with the zucchini around here, since I have so much of it. Look for this recipe later this week.
Got an amazing package in the mail from our very good friends Mike and Karen, in Brooklyn. Check out their amazing work here.
Mark and I went to Disney Tuesday night to check out the 4th of July Patriotic Firework show.
This is one of my favorite things. Walking to the lagoon by our house with Seri and we just sit together and enjoy the quiet. The perfect time for my to sit with my thoughts.
One of the MANY huge zucchini from our garden.
The contents of the perfect bike basket. One water bottle, two HUGE zucchini, a bottle of “Two Buck Chuck” Trader Joe’s wine and some homemade insect repellent. This makes for an amazing night, wouldn’t you say?
The 4th of July spread at Dan and Debbie’s. We obviously made way too much food!
Dan’s handy work on the chalkboard wall.
Our 4th of July crew on the Tiki Mermaid yacht cruise we took in Marina Del Ray to see the fireworks from the water.

That definitely looks like a great week! We’ve got some courgettes just coming through, they have flowered – I know the flowers are edible, but do you have any suggestions? Or should I just dump them on a salad and call it good?
Seri is gorgeous, I have an English Bull too, but a large brindle fella with a few splashes of white. They are truly a unique species: life is better with a Bullie 😀
Could you BE any cuter with your bike basket? I think not! 🙂
I love your photo posts; they’re so fun!
I went to Wanderlust when it was in Chicago. I had so much fun, even though it was a very chilly day. I’m curious to know how you made your insect repellent….
