Wild Mint Eco-Friendly Giveaway
If you’ve been reading Tasty Yummies for sometime, you know that my passion for living well, extends past the yummy foods I choose to nourish my body with. I try to evaluate all areas of my life for ways that I can be living more mindfully and more consciously.
I can admit that even with all my work and attention in this area, I am far from perfect and as I am sure most of you feel, there is much room for improvement. I choose to look at all of it as an ongoing, ever evolving practice and I try to take small simple steps while enjoying every bit of the journey.
For me, choosing household and lifestyle products that support my healthy way of living is just as important to me as each and every one of the ingredients that go into my dishes. Why should what I cook that food on, clean my home with, what I eat off of and drink out of, what my food is stored into, be treated any differently than the food I am consuming? To me, with this realization has come lots of changes – some small and simple, many very large and cumbersome. It’s a hard way to navigate and it’s hard to know where to even start.
I am so happy that there are so many incredible companies, large and small, creating beautiful eco-friendly non-toxic products that support my choices. Finding all of these amazing, mindful companies can be where the real challenges lie. When Wild Mint contacted me about working together to introduce their brand to my readers, I instantly knew that they would be a perfect fit and I immediately began perusing their beautiful online store that is filled with exactly the products that I am always on the look out for.

Giveaway: Teeki. Fashion Created from Recycled Plastic Bottles
As part of my ongoing series of Holiday Gift Guides, created to help all of you with your holiday shopping this year, I also wanted to make sure you, my lovely readers, received some fun gifts, yourselves! Just a fun way for me to say “thank you!” So, I am super excited to have another amazing giveaway to share with you guys today from Teeki!

I’ve had the pleasure of receiving a handful of Teeki’s amazing patterned hot pants, to try out and I absolutely LOVE them!! I literally want to live in these things. Besides being eco-friendly, and so amazing looking, they are totally comfy, too. They move with my body, staying put in even the most rigorous of sweaty power yoga classes. They are soft and silky and they fit and flatter my curvy body well. As someone with thighs and hips, I have to admit I was a tad worried about how there pants would look on me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I find the wide waist band that sits higher than many trendy yoga pants, to be flattering and totally appropriate for my body. My favorite part is, if I plan my outfit accordingly, layer and add some jewelry, these pants easily transition off the mat into something I can wear throughout the rest of my day, not feeling like I am wearing the typical workout gear!
I won’t bore you with photos of me in their pants, none of my photos will ever do them the justice that Teeki’s professional photos can, but I wanted to show you at least a couple, so you can see how they fit my non-model body. I am wearing their Clouds Hot Pants in these photos. But, I also have their Space Love, Awakening and Star Dust Hot Pants. I honestly love each one more then the next!! I could live in these pants, you guys!

MightyNest Giveaway: Holiday Entertaining? Skip the Paper Plates, Opt for Duralex Glass Dinnerware
With the holidays nearly upon us, I am so excited to be pairing up with some wonderful and mindful brands to bring you lots of great product features and giveaways from now up until Christmas! I have some amazing gift guides planned to make holiday gift-giving a bit easier for you this year, but in the holiday spirit of giving, I also wanted to give you guys some good stuff, too! As someone that is slowly taking the steps to rid my life and my home of all useless and unnecessary plastics, disposable products and other wasteful items, I am always taking note of places where I can still make changes. I have gotten rid of almost all of the plastic containers in our home and we now opt for glass whenever possible, so when MightyNest contacted me about creating a post, taking inventory of my kitchen and replacing plastics or other harmful products with glassware from Duralex; instead of storage containers or drinking glasses, which I am set with, I decided their beautiful dinnerware would be the perfect addition to my kitchen.
My husband and I just relocated to Southern California earlier this year and one of the things I was most excited about when we got into our new home here, was all the room we have to entertain. We have a big deck off of the house that is perfect for hosting dinner parties. Not only did we not have a deck at our home in NY, but we didn’t have a dining room table or even a kitchen table, for that matter. We had a small town house and our kitchen was long and narrow, no room for a table, so we just had a long bar. It just simply wasn’t conducive to entertaining. After living there nearly 10 years, our kitchenware reflected that fact.
